About Us
| Crosslaw
Farm near Coldingham has been farmed by
Judith and Douglas Allan since 1985.
In
2003, they renovated the
farmhouse to a very high standard, providing a
modernised
and comfortable country house for up to eight
visitors in this beautiful part of
the south-eastern Scottish Borders.
The Allan
family now live in the cottage next door to
Crosslaw Farmhouse.

The
Farm extends to
630 acres, growing arable crops, barley, wheat
and oats. There are also 500 breeding ewes and
thirty beef cows. Their lambs and calves are
kept cosy and warm in the lambing and cattle
sheds during the Winter months! |
|
The farm is
also home to three dogs, one a working collie,
three cats and 'Samson' the horse, a truly
gentle giant! |
|

'Lizzie'
the bearded collie takes a rest!

Although a busy
farmers wife and mother, Judith loves horses and
often rides Samson around the
farm. At the local Berwickshire
Branch of the charity Riding for the
Disabled Judith helps others to enjoy
riding too! |
|
The
boys enjoy helping around
the farm and they are now in the Scouts and
Explorers with
their
Dad, who is also one of the Scout Leaders.
